Content ratings
A content rating tells buyers, and parents, who an app is for. You answer a few questions about what the app shows, and AppsXi turns the answers into one age label. You rate the app yourself; AppsXi does not play it. A rating that does not match the app counts as a misleading listing.
Who needs one
- Games (the Games category, or apps you marked as a game) need a rating before they go live. An approved build waits until the rating is in; saving it publishes the app if nothing else is missing.
- Other apps can add one if it helps buyers. Most tools do not need it.
Fill it in under Apps > your app > Overview > Content rating. You can change it any time; the listing updates right away.
The questions

Explicit sexual content, betting real money, and selling random items or prizes with real-world value (they can be sold, traded for money or cashed out) are not allowed on AppsXi: the last two count as gambling with real money.
The labels
The label is the highest one any answer leads to.

Chat and sharing personal information do not change the age. The listing shows them next to the label ("Users interact", "Shares info"), with the other answers that matter, like "Fantasy violence" or "Mild language".
Where buyers see it
- Listing: the label and the notes, next to "How this app was checked".
- Cards and charts: a small 13+, 17+ or 18+ badge. Everyone has no badge.
- Mature and Adults only: the listing asks visitors to confirm they are 17 (or 18) or older before it shows. The answer is kept on that browser for a year; AppsXi stores no birthday or other personal information.
- Adults only: the app does not rank and is not promoted: it is left out of the charts, the weekly Top 10 lists, Launch Day and the home page. Search, the app list, category pages and your developer page show it only to visitors who have confirmed they are 18 or older.
