Built with AI

Built your app with Claude Code, Cursor or another AI tool? You can say so on your listing, tell the story in a build log, and your app can appear in the monthly Built with AI showcase. It is optional and free.

Mark your app

  1. Open Apps > your app > Overview > Built with AI in the developer dashboard.
  2. Choose Yes and tick the tools you used: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, ChatGPT or Other.
  3. Add a build log if you like, then save.

You can change it any time; the listing updates right away. Choosing No removes the label and deletes the build log.

The label

Your listing shows a small Built with AI label under the app name, with the tools you picked. It is your own statement: AppsXi does not check it, and the label says so ("The developer says this app was built with AI tools"). A label that is not true counts as a misleading listing.

The label does not change where your app shows up. Search, categories and the charts rank apps the same way whether you say yes or no.

The build log

A build log is the story of how you made the app: a title (3 to 120 characters) and up to 20,000 characters of text. Good ones say what you asked the AI to do, what it got wrong, what you fixed by hand, and what you would do differently next time.

Write it in Markdown:

You typeYou get
## PlanningA heading
- item or 1. itemA list
**bold**bold
A backtick on each side of a wordcode
Three backticks on their own line, before and afterA code block
[text](https://example.com)A link

Links must start with https:// or point to a page on AppsXi; anything else shows as plain text. HTML shows as text and never runs.

The listing shows the start of the log under How it was built, with a link to the full log at appsxi.com/apps/<your-app>/build-log. The log is public once the app is live.

The showcase

The Built with AI page lists apps marked Built with AI whose listing first went live this month, newest first, plus the latest build logs. Months run midnight to midnight Pacific time, like Launch Day. Until this month has its first app, the page shows the most recent ones. Earlier months stay in the archive, for example /built-with-ai?month=2026-09.

An app joins the month it first went live. If you mark an app that has been live for a while, it shows up in that earlier month's archive, and its build log shows in the latest build logs. Adults-only apps are not shown on the page.

Publish with your AI tool

Your AI coding tool can also do the AppsXi work: packaging, signing checks, the manifest and publishing on every release. In your project folder run:

Terminal
npx appxi ai

It adds the AppsXi skills for Claude Code, a Cursor rule and an AGENTS.md section, and connects the AppsXi MCP servers. Then ask: "Make this app AppsXi ready." See MCP and AI tools.

Pieces to start from:

  • Package standard: the formats and signing every build needs.
  • appxi.json: the manifest that says what your app needs.
  • Licensing: license helper code for TypeScript, Swift, C++ and .NET.
  • GitHub releases: publish every release automatically.
  • CLI: run AppsXi's checks on your machine before you upload.
