# AppsXi > AppsXi is a marketplace for signed Mac and Windows desktop apps. Developers keep their own signing identity; AppsXi checks every build, hosts it, takes payment through the developer's own Square account, issues licenses and serves updates. Use the `appxi` CLI (`npx appxi check `) to run AppsXi's checks locally, and `npx appxi mcp` for a local MCP server. ## Docs - [Getting started](https://appsxi.com/docs/getting-started): From a signed installer to a live AppsXi listing, and what happens on every release after that. - [Package standard](https://appsxi.com/docs/package-standard): The formats, signing and notarization rules every AppsXi build must meet. - [appxi.json](https://appsxi.com/docs/appxi-json): The package manifest that declares what your app is and what it needs. - [Pipeline checks and fixes](https://appsxi.com/docs/pipeline): What AppsXi checks on every build, what each outcome means, and how to fix each finding. - [Content ratings](https://appsxi.com/docs/content-ratings): Rate what your app shows with a short questionnaire.
