CLI

Terminal
npx appxi <command>

Node 20 or later, no dependencies. It runs the same checks as the AppsXi pipeline, using the tools already on your machine: hdiutil, codesign, spctl, stapler and pkgutil on Mac; PowerShell or osslsigncode, and 7z, for Windows installers.

appxi check

Terminal
npx appxi check dist/MyApp-1.2.0.dmg --app my-app

Checks format, signing, notarization, entitlements, the updater feed and Sparkle key, hardcoded secrets and outside checkout links. Exits with code 1 if anything would be denied. --json prints a machine-readable report; --platform windows forces the platform for .zip files; --homepage https://example.com tells the checkout scan which links are yours.

appxi package

Writes appxi.json from a build (see appxi.json). --out sets the path.

appxi doctor

Terminal
npx appxi doctor .

Detects your stack (Electron, Tauri, Swift, .NET, JUCE, Flutter), checks for Developer ID identities and notarytool (Mac) or a code signing certificate (Windows), and scans your source for hardcoded secrets and outside checkout links.

appxi init

Writes appxi.json and .github/workflows/appxi-publish.yml for your stack. Fill in the build step and add the APPXI_TOKEN secret. --force replaces an existing workflow.

appxi publish

Terminal
APPXI_TOKEN=axd_… npx appxi publish dist/MyApp-1.2.0.dmg dist/MyApp-1.2.0.msix --app my-app --version 1.2.0 --notes CHANGELOG.md --wait

Runs check on each file (skip with --skip-check), uploads it with resumable 6 MB chunks, submits it, and with --wait waits for the decision, printing each finding and its fix. Exits with code 1 if a build is denied.

Option
--appYour app's slug (required).
--versionDefaults to the version in the package.
--channelstable (default) or beta.
--notesA Markdown file with release notes.
--ed-signatureSparkle EdDSA signature for the file.
--sparkle-sign [path]Run Sparkle's sign_update for you.
--waitWait for the pipeline decision.

In GitHub Actions it writes build_id to $GITHUB_OUTPUT.
