A macOS menu bar customization tool that turns scripts into menu bar plugins
SwiftBar lets you add custom menu bar programs on macOS in three easy steps: write a shell script, add it to SwiftBar, and there is no third step. Whatever your script prints becomes a menu bar title and a dropdown menu.
It is for anyone who wants live information or quick actions in the menu bar, using the scripting language of their choice. SwiftBar can run existing BitBar and xbar plugins, and it is bundled with a Plugin Repository you can browse from the Get Plugins menu item. Refresh intervals are set simply by naming the plugin file, and you can reorder plugins by dragging them.
