Local-first voice app for Apple Silicon Macs covering dictation, transcription and meeting recording
Version cli-v5.1.0 is out upstream. No Mac app bundle found in the download (this may be a command line tool).
MacParakeet is a local-first voice app for Apple Silicon Macs that combines system-wide dictation, file and media transcription and meeting recording in one place. All speech recognition happens on your Mac, while networked AI features are separate and opt-in.
It suits writers, students and professionals who want to talk instead of type, transcribe recordings and keep meeting notes without sending audio to a cloud service. It also offers a command line tool for automation.
